David Harrell has been working as a professional actor since 1997. He received his training from Georgia College and State Unversity and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a BFA in Theatre Performance in 1997.

David worked as an intern at the prestigious Barter Theatre in Abington, VA. He has worked for many theatres in the Atlanta Area, as well as the Phoenix Theatre Circle in Columbus, Ohio. It was at the Phoenix that he conceived the idea for his one-man show, The Quest. He also began to develop educational workshops that use theatre as a learning tool for children.

In 2002, David moved to Raleigh, NC, to serve as the Accessibility and Outreach Director for the Raleigh Ensemble Players. Through funding from the North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilites and other sources, REP makes the arts more accessible to people with disabilities. While at REP, David developed and presented several programs in area schools. He had the opportunity to share the work the theatre was doing at conferences around the state.

With the development of The Quest, he hopes his passions to entertain, educate, will bring awareness to diversity and acceptance.
